The Mochizuki Family

Samurai Lineage
The Mochizuki family comes from a samurai heritage that can be traced back directly.
This is one of the reasons why Yoseikan Budo uses 3 different sized foam weapons for sparring:
- Small size: tanto
- Medium size: wakizashi
- Big size: katana
Samurai warriors were well versed in many forms of battlefield combat such as Ken-Jutsu, Iaido and Kobudo for weapon fighting.
They would also have to know unarmed combat (Jujitsu, throws, locks and striking) should they ever be disarmed or without a weapon. These techniques would later become known as styles such as Karate, Judo, Aikido etc.
